We were delighted to see several presentations on this year’s agenda focused specifically on the importance of Energy related businesses protecting their IT and data. Exhibiting at the conference we were able to reinforce that message and demonstrate to Energy sector organisations how they can benefit from MIGSOLV’s data centre services to do just that.
Kevin Magee of control and safety systems integrators Proeon Systems spoke about the potential cyber threats to industrial control systems and emphasised the need to carefully store and secure critical IT and data.
Ian Bramson, Head of Strategic Cyber Solutions for wind-turbine giants Siemens, addressed the increasing importance of cyber security in the Energy sector and the important steps all businesses can take to guard against threats.
Both Proeon Systems and Siemens highlighted the essential role a world-class data centre like MIGSOLV’s Gatehouse now plays in the Energy industry. Situated just 30 minutes from the East Coast, we were pleased by the sheer number of companies approaching Dominic and Ollie to discuss storing and protecting their IT.
Whether housing a company’s primary IT, backup, disaster recovery solution or providing better connectivity to key global networks, we’re dedicated to helping businesses in and around the East’s ‘Energy Coast’ to thrive.
During the exhibition as well as helping businesses protect their critical data, there was a chance to win an Amazon Echo or take away an exclusive MIGSOLV frisbee!
The lucky winner of the Amazon Echo was James Cleverley of Fern Communications, pictured above receiving his prize from our Energy specialist Dominic Boullé. Fern Communications is a leading provider of two-way and ATEX radio communications, used extensively in the Oil and Gas industry. Congratulations James!
